What is Book Bonus?

Book Bonus is an exciting new fundraising initiative for students who are doing the 2012 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge.  Book Bonus is an online fundraiser that enables students to ask their family and friends to sponsor them for the books they are reading for the Challenge to: 

  1. Raise funds for their school to buy new books, and
  2. Help Dymocks Children's Charities give books to kids who really need them.

Why should I do Book Bonus?

Book Bonus will help us place thousands of new books in the libraries and classrooms of NSW schools. Book Bonus is unique in that it is a fundraising partnership and all funds raised will be shared between participating schools and the Dymocks Children's Charities. More information 

If every student who completed the Premier's Reading Challenge in 2011 raised just $20 in sponsorship, the total funds would be: 

 

220,000 students X $20 = $4,400,000

or an extra 300,000 books in our schools!

 

How does it work?

Book Bonus is directly linked to the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge.  Students who have registered for the 2012 NSW Premier's Reading Challenge can choose to sign up for Book Bonus and receive all the tools and support they need to raise funds to buy books for their school through this safe, fun and exciting reading sponsorship campaign.  More information  

Who can sign up?

Only NSW government school students who have registered for the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) can sign up for Book Bonus.

Students from Catholic and non-government schools need to ask their school to contact the Dymocks Children’s Charities.
